I haven’t come across any of these films. Thank you. I’ve written them down. Have you seen The Girl With The Needle? I assumed it got a lot of press bc of its nomination for best foreign picture at the Oscars but no one I know in the US has seen it. It reminded me a bit of Beyond The Hills, (Romanian, 2012) both based on true events. They’re heavy in subject matter but flawlessly done. All of Us Strangers (British, 2023) is one of the most beautiful films I’ve ever seen. I know of only one other person who has seen it. Can’t understand how that can be. Cafe de Flore (French-Canadian, 2011) is exquisite. If you’re interested check them out. :)
